On Saturday Granitos held a Health Brigade at the foundation. Doctors were available throughout the day for parents to bring in their children to receive check-ups and fluoride treatments. Many of the kids are underweight and/or undernourished, and they are prescribed supplements, often at a great cost to their parents.

Today was the peace education workshop. Much of the emphasis was on gangs or pandillas and associated violence. At one point we separated the kids into small groups, and discussed these issues. Today was my second day working at Granitos de Paz, the foundation that Children Beyond our Borders partners with here in Cartagena, Colombia.
